Sign Up for Emergency Alerts from LA Valley College
Los Angeles Valley College is pleased to launch a new emergency notification system using a service called Blackboard Connect. With this new service, the college will be able to send out alert notifications by email, voice and text message simultaneously to students, faculty and staff within minutes.
Students who would like to receive emergency notifications will need to submit their emergency contact information into our new LAVC Connect portal.
Current LAVC students, your default email address is your LACCD student email (@student.laccd.edu) address, and your default phone number is the number you had entered in the Student Information System (SIS) portal. Please note: Students who wish to update their contact information for their student records will need to visit the Student Information System (SIS); this system WILL NOT update your LACCD student record.
